Sitara Attaie

Sitara Attaie is an Afghan-born American and Dutch actress, journalist, and educator who serves as the Director of Media Relations for Seed of Kindness. Her life and career are a masterclass in cross-cultural adaptability and the power of finding one’s voice in any environment.

For the Afghan Youth Representative of the United Nations, Sitara is appointed “Executive Media & Communications Lead” for their campaign #hestandswithher.

Professional Excellence in Media & Arts

Sitara’s professional background spans the highest levels of global media and entertainment:

  • Film & Television: She has appeared in major productions such as Homeland, United States of Al, Stumptown, and The X-Files, as well as blockbuster films like Spider-Man: Far From Home and Jingle Jangle.

  • Journalism & Education: Holding a BFA in English Literature from the University of Groningen and a certificate in Journalism, Sitara has worked as a freelance journalist for various Dutch media outlets, including Spunk.nl and Cultuur Scouts Magazine.

  • Arts & Performance: An award-winning dancer and choreographer, she has led national competitions in Europe and choreographed numerous music videos and commercials.

  • Narrator: She has narrated numerous audiobooks, lending her voice to stories that amplify Afghan perspectives and ensure cultural narratives reach a global audience.

Having lived in Afghanistan, India, and the Netherlands before moving to the United States, Sitara is a true global citizen. She is fluent in eight languages, allowing her to connect with and represent the mission of Seed of Kindness to a vast array of international communities.
